Lashing out in anger, construction worker Derek causes an accident on the freeway. His truck escapes unscathed, but he can’t say the same for his conscience. Plagued by nightmares of the wreck, his only comfort comes in the form of nightly visits by a mysterious woman who interrupts his dreams with sensual caresses and words of solace.
Cami has no idea who she is, until she wakes in a hospital bed and learns she has been comatose due to a car wreck. Her visits with Derek must have been a dream, so why can’t she shake the feeling he was a real man who truly needed her help?
When Derek learns his mystery woman is none other than the driver of the car he cut off and she is fighting for her life, he must decide: Is he man enough to face her and ask forgiveness, or will he run away and avoid the consequences of his anger, yet again?

Angela’s Review:
This book was absolutely superb!!!  I’ve read a historical/time travel from Ms. Gage, and now this contemporary with a paranormal twist.  I am now wondering, is there anything this author can’t write. The answer is a definite No!
The characters were believable, and I could totally relate to Cami’s fear of highways, and the trauma that lay behind it. The author gave her just enough vulnerability, to make your heart swoon when Derek stepped up to save the day. Cami totally needed a guy like Derek, who was strong enough to stand by her side, as she dealt with her medical and past issues.

I loved that Derek was just an everyday blue-collar worker. I could envision him walking around his house with a power drill, as he hung the curtain rods, and thought the only thing sexier than a guy with a power tool, is a kilted guy with a power tool. Even though he had anger issues, it was very easy to be sympathetic to his character, because of the strong bond with his young daughter, and his determination to be a better parent, than his own father.  Derek was a sexy, and it was very easy to fall in love with him.
This story was magical in every way, and I was unable to put it down. I consumed it in one evening, and I found myself excitedly telling friends and family that there wasn’t one emotion that this author wasn’t able to engage me in as a reader. At times my heart was literally racing, and then breaking, as scenes brought tears to my eyes…and I was only 100 pages into the book. Then the happily ever can only be explained with a…….BIG SIGH!!  If you want to read an amazing contemporary romance with a magical twist, as two hearts that are destined to find one another, then you DO NOT want to miss Road Rage by Jessi Gage!
