Nadene's Satin Sheets Romance Review of The Client and the Call Girl by Emily Sinclare

TITLE: THE CLIENT AND THE CALL GIRL
AUTHOR: EMILY SINCLARE
AUTHOR'S WEBSITE: EMILY SINCLARE
PUBLISHER: RED SAGE PUBLISHING
GENRE: Contemporary, Romantic Suspense
BUY LINK: RED SAGE

BLURB: Stunning FBI agent Charlotte (Charlie) Chandler goes undercover to arrest Trent Logan, the CFO of the nation’s new healthcare company by posing as a high-class call girl because Trent has sexual needs that can only be fulfilled by hiring an escort. When she meets undercover IRS agent Randolph (Rand) Rhodes she is stunned by her instant, desperate attraction to him.

The problem?

Rand is working with the FBI on the inside of the healthcare company to gain proof that Logan is embezzling millions. But how can Charlotte be around Randolph, Trent’s “friend” and co-worker without blowing their cover?

Reader Alert! Charlie had no idea her body could heat so fast. She thought she’d burn from the flames she felt when she touched Rand. Beware! Only read under the covers when ready for intense passion!

To My Readers:
This story is different. Who would think the FBI would run an escort service? The characters are sexy, hot and passionate about their jobs. And they’re determined to catch criminals, even if their suspect is into kinky sex. Someone has to do the dirty work, and Charlie is willing to get inside the suspect’s pants while Rand gets inside his mind.

NADENE'S REVIEW

This is a truly hot and exciting read with quite an unique story line. This is a story about an elite division, known as Escorts Undercover,  of the FBI where the female agents work undercover as prostitutes. This is an exciting, enjoyable and fast paced read. I was hooked from the very first page and found it difficult to put it down.

Some of the characters were awesome and were adequately portrayed. My favourite character is Charlotte (Charlie) Chandler who is an agent with Escorts Undercover. She is a brilliant, no nonsense agent who knew just how to reel in her target.

Rand is an IRS agent whom is working undercover at health care company to uncover proof of embezzlement of funds by Trent Logan.  It so happened that the FBI was also after the same criminal thus allowing Rand and Charlotte paths to cross.

When Charlotte and Rand first encountered each other, sparks literally flew between them. The attraction was explosive and instantaneous. Rand, however could not understand why he was feeling this way when he should have been disgusted by Charlotte's profession. It was fun to see his reaction when he found out that she was not who she purported to be.

The supporting characters helped to enhance the story and to the excitement. Trent Logan is quite the villain. He was evil and quite crazy. It had me on the edge wondering what was his next move.

This story is filled with non-stop action, suspense, drama and romance. The love scenes were quite steamy. I am looking forward to reading the remaining books in the series. This is a good start to a new series and was worth every moment spent reading it.

BLURB: Deputy DA Margo Keyes is looking forward to this trip with as much enthusiasm as she’d have for a root canal. There’s the Philly summer heat, the high school reunion she’d rather avoid, and the speech she’d be giving as a last-minute stand-in for her boss. Mostly there’s facing high school crush Tony Alessandro. When she’d last seen the Philly cop, he’d danced her out of his sister’s wedding reception to a dark room where he’d kissed her senseless. If his nephew hadn’t interrupted they’d have…well, who knows?

Tony had disappeared on some family errand. She went home to Portland, Oregon the next day. She hadn’t heard from him since.

However, her homecoming turns out better than expected. The reunion and the speech work out. Even better, when she and Tony pick up where they left off in that dark room, the only heat that’s unbearable is what they generate in bed.

Margo returns to Portland wondering if she and Tony have started something she might not be ready for, relieved she’s put a whole continent between them to give her breathing room to sort it. Then his work with a federal task force investigating industrial espionage brings him to Portland. And an accidental swap of messenger bags on her flight home puts her in the middle of the investigation.

Tony wants her out of the way of the bad guys and focused on him. She wants to use a secret from her past to wrap up the case. And maybe avoid having to think about what’s happening between them.

They can’t both win. Or can they?

Goodreads Blurb:

The heart cares not what society forbids.

Lily nurtures a secret love for a flawless man—the one who is her soul mate. Donovan is gorgeous, charismatic, and delights in all of Lily’s talents and quirks. Their innate knowledge of each other is almost telepathic. Together they interlock like fine threads creating luxurious silk.

But society dictates this picture-perfect adoration is the ghastliest of all possibilities.

As Lily embarks on a quest for the romance the heavens intended, her suitor turns reluctant. Desperate to uncover why Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hiding decayed from a tender-hearted gentleman into a ferociously self-serving, cocky bastard, Lily is prepared for battle when it comes to the salvation of her soul mate. However, Donovan traps Lily in a mental game of chess, leaving her to question his sanity. When Lily’s revelations about Donovan’s destructive alter ego lead to an unconceivable truth, can she help Donovan survive fate’s cruel joke?

Impassioned, witty, and deeply moving, Love’s Forbidden Flower is filled with stunning controversies that will forever haunt your heart.

My Review:

I’m going to start off by saying… I’ve NEVER read anything like Love’s Forbidden Flower, EVER in my reading history! Not only because it’s not my usual reading material, it’s the story line that I’ve never experienced before. Unquestionably original and I can definitely see why it’s considered controversial. It’s not something you would normally read in a love story, but it’s a really good story. Any fan of the genre that’s looking for something different to read and has no objections to two soul mates, fighting for their love and are related to one another, will fully enjoy it.

Lily is a smart, beautiful and creative young woman that is in love, deeply and unconditionally in love. She has a life plan which a part is to make a business for herself doing what she enjoys most and enjoying her life with the one she loves. But when she is rejected, she finds love elsewhere. It’s nothing like what she feels for her soul mate, but close and he has the best accent!

Donovan is Lily’s older brother. He starts off as doing the right thing, going to high school, helping his father live vicariously through him. Only wanting to make his parents happy and proud; all while holding in many deep secrets from both his parents and his sister brings him to a negative point. He has a hard time with it all and loses himself once in a while by taking it out on others he does not care about. All he wants is to have the one thing, the one person he loves and has loved, but it’s forbidden.

Secrets, deceit, twists, love, soul deep emotions and a forbidden relationship all wrapped into one page turning read. This is the first book of a new series and I’m looking forward to seeing where this roller coaster of a relationship ends up. I’m hoping for the best for Lily, Donovan and Christopher :)

Kande's Review of Midnight Sun, Inc. by Debbie Vaughn

Title: Midnight Sun, Inc

Author: Debbie Vaughn

Publisher: Crimson Romance

Genre: Fantasy Paranormal Romance

Book Location: GoodReads I Amazon

Book Length:  284 pages
Summary:  Real vampires don’t rust, bust, collect dust . . . or sparkle in the sunshine, but that shouldn’t keep them from sporting a healthy glow!

Midnight Sun Tanning Salon owner Tom Thornton is everything a girl could want in a vampire - tall, dark, handsome, with a body built for sin, plus cowboy boots and a Texas drawl. Toss in paid vacations and a benefits package and he is the perfect employer. His short, adorable and flamboyantly gay sidekick, Raf, looks like Tony Curtis - channeling Richard Simmons.

Connie Bennett is drawn to both - for very different reasons.

Everything she thought she knew about vampires, herself and life in general is about to go pear-shaped . . .but then, no relationship is perfect!

My Review:

Wow! I really don't know where to begin. Everything about this story was just awesome. Don't let the cover fool you! This story is addicting! I seriously had to lock my kindle in the other room to stop reading while I did my chores... and the entire time ii was cleaning I was thinking about the story! Then, as soon as I finished I raced back to my kindle to finish! I couldn't help it!

This story is seriously packin some heat with sexy vamp cowboys! Yes, I'll repeat that slower. Vampire Cowboys... that are steaming-ly sexy... :D

First off, before I really begin, let me just say that I totally want a Raf of my own... and don't want to share him with anyone! He's the perfect best friend/boyfriend, well except he likes other guys... which makes us perfect! We can stare at guys together! *coughs*

Anyways!

This is the first book I've ever read by the other and I was blown away by the original and intense plot line. I have already added the rest of her books to my TBR list on goodreads.

This book is jam packed with sensual sex, addictive vampire, witches, cats and an adorable doxen you will fall in love with.  This book had me literally turning the pages faster and faster as I read. Wanting... no Needing to know what happens next!

This book is so well done with the amount of details that I could see it being the next blockbuster film! The characters are so well done that I could be friends with all of them! I could totally relate to Connie, the author kept it real and didn't sugar coat anything! I don't have even one problem with this highly addictive book!

The author didn't leave anything out of this spectacular book that I highly recommend to anyone and everyone! Fan of vampires or not! Everyone should own this book! What are you waiting for? The links are above! Go!

Genre: Historical Romance

Length:  328 pages

Ambushed as he approaches an English estate, Lord Cort Dornogard trusts no one...least of all spirited Gaelic healer Alexis Fallon, who fascinates even as she defies him.
The magnificent Norse warrior is a threat to both Alexis' heart and her cherished autonomy, for she harbors a secret about the ambush she cannot reveal. Honesty will cost her her freedom. But silence may cost her far more.
Cort harbors a damning secret of his own--one guaranteed to foment rebellion among his new subjects. The escalating attacks and accidents confirm that fear. His foes, both English and Norman, will exploit what he hides to destroy him, his dreams, and the woman he is grown to love.

Snared in a web of castle intrigue, passion, and betrayal, Cort and Lexi are each far more than either suspects. Will they discover too late that truth is a two-edged sword?
Angela’s Review:

Absolutely loved this story! The only thing better than a highlander, is a knight in not-so shining armor. Ms. O’Key hit the mark with her hero and heroine!

Cort was the complete package. He was a typical alpha, but when it came to his strong feelings toward Lexi, he was an open book.  His chivalry was sexy, and his love for Lexi was endearing. It was easy to see why I fell in love with his character the moment the book began.
Lexi was intelligent, independent and a breath of fresh air. Oh, and she can kick-butt! What I enjoy most though, was the author’s ability to draw me deeper into Lexi and Cort’s relationship. I felt like I was experiencing the ups and downs right along with them.
If you love historical romance, and knights that can melt your heart then you do not want to miss out on Cherish the Knight by Diane O’Key.

Nanee's Review of The Bargain by Christine S Feldman

The Bargain Title: The Bargain
                                                               Author: Christine S Feldman
                                                               genre: Romance
                                                               Website: http://christinesfeldman.com/

Book description:

Tomboy Shannon Mahoney has always been a lot more comfortable with power tools than high heels or lipstick, and she wishes she could reinvent herself and finally tell her perfect boss, Drew Kingston, she has had a crush on him since high school. But she is just as tongue-tied and awkward around him now as she ever was, and long-familiar patterns are hard things from which to break free…

Ladies’ man Michael is a former bad boy looking for redemption. He is desperate to atone for past mistakes that he made with his family, but younger brother Drew has cut him out of his life and refuses to even speak to him. Which means Michael needs help getting to Drew.

And so he approaches Shannon with a proposition: If she will get Drew to agree to hear him out, Michael will mentor Shannon in how to win his brother’s heart. Suspicious of Michael’s motives, Shannon initially enters into the bargain just to make sure Michael isn’t actually in town to cause trouble for Drew, but the two unlikely allies are surprised to discover they enjoy each other’s company far more than either expected.

Shannon starts to realize that maybe love isn’t about reinventing yourself after all. It’s about finding your perfect match.

Nanee's Review:

Loved this Story thought it was very sweet and cute and romantic. Loved Shannon's character, she's so shy and innocent you cant help but feel for her and her feelings for Drew. Shannon wants nothing more than to be with Drew but she doesn't have the guts to make a move.  Drew has no idea of Shannon's feelings for him, he doesn't even remember her from high school. Drew is a sexy politician type that gets all the ladies and Shannon is just a carrot top geek with no social skills when it comes to men (or so she thinks). In comes Michael, a hot as hell,  rebel that's past is catching up to him. I loved Michael's character as well, he knows he made mistakes in the past and knows its probably to late to fix them but he's willing to try. When Michael sets out to Bargain with Shannon to get close to his brother, they all got more than they bargained for....very sweet, loving story of past regrets and forgiving futures.

Alice Cramer is tired of being pitied for her family’s transgressions, so she resolves to break out of the gutter and into the spotlight. As long as her local congressman can forget about their checkered past and help her secure a federal grant to open Harmony Falls Little Theatre, she’ll be the brightest star in town. But when Alice stands up in church and stops the congressman’s wedding, she dives headfirst into fresh scandal.
Why is Harmony Fall’s golden boy, Justin Mitchell, speeding down the interstate sans a new wife but with the local drama queen he’s been trying his whole life to avoid? Alice Cramer may have saved him the hassle of an arranged marriage to a woman he didn't love, but she’s also put a business transaction big enough to save an entire town in jeopardy - not to mention his reputation.
Soon Alice and Justin are dredging up and indulging in an attraction that threatens all their dreams and aspirations. But what if life together is the dream that matters most?

Anna’s Review

It took me a while to like the Alice and Justin characters and maybe it was the fault of the plot itself.  I had trouble accepting the idea of an arranged marriage in the 21st century and I found the idea of Alice being from a “bad” family a little tired.  It just wasn't working for me.  So I really struggled with the first part of this book.

However, Justin’s transformation pulled me in and saved the story.  He comes to realize after Alice crashes his Wedding that his life has been going in the wrong direction and quickly starts making changes.   I was still frustrated with Alice’s character, I felt she really never believed she was “good enough” and was too bogged down in what the town thought of her.  Despite these flaws, Justin and Alice romance was charming and I was glad to see to them both realize that life is so much simpler when you let yourself be happy.

If you’re looking for a sweet romance about the one who got away, check out Crashing the Congressman’s Wedding.

Lynn decides that if she is a cougar, she isn’t a very good one, but John has other plans and they involve a little game of chase.

Review
Short but packed with fun and excellent writing. “Taming the Cougar” is funny, endearing, light, and one of the most entertaining contemporary stories I’ve read. Didn’t think I could identify so easily with a cougar, but Walker had me hooked at the mirror scene. LOL

Wonderfully and skillfully written with two adorable characters and liberally sprinkled metaphors throughout, you won’t want to miss this one. Four satin pillows.

Kande's Review of Collared for a Night by Susan Arden

Title: Collared for a Night
Author: Susan Arden
Publisher: Crimson Romance
Genre: Erotic Paranormal Romance
Book Location: GoodReads I Amazon
Book Length:  218 pages
Summary:  Diana Hambre's body is blazing. For days this leopardess shifter has spun through a body-searing heat cycle. Alone. Her senses reel when Shawn Barclay, her boss, walks into her reserved room at the Downtown Den, a stud club for shifters. He gives Diana a choice: spend the evening with him, give into his every desire, and she'll find out what it means to quench her heat-crazed thirst—or try her luck with a stranger, one of the club bangers.

Shawn hates when his back is against the wall. One sip of Diana’s pheromone-laced scent is enough to force his alpha hand. The tables have turned and it's Diana's back he wants up against a wall, or any other surface for that matter.

As the moon rises toward midnight, Shawn and Diana come to understand the difference between sex and bonding. For a night, neither of them resist their primal instincts, blindly giving into carnal desire. Her wild nature fights being subdued and she risks spontaneously shifting without warning.

Now, bearing Shawn's bite marks, she can’t simply walk away from him; not when he has the means to teach her to harness her leopardess nature. Shawn accepts the challenge of training Diana to control her untamed cravings. Employing every method available in and out of the bedroom, he discovers he's on the verge of ensnaring himself in the process.

My Review:
First of all, everyone stop and take a good look at that cover! It's simply gorgeous and it totally portrays the incredible story!

Collared for a Night starts out with a female shifter going to a special club to help her in her 'time of need' but it ends up to be so much more when her boss is the one to help 'tame' her desires... and let me just say that ladies you will need to bring an extra pair of panties because this story sure brings the heat! Your e readers will surely catch fire.

The author did a fantastic job with details in this long story but don't let the length fool you. This isn't just fillers and fluffyness this is a brilliant story that was put together. I feel I know so much more about leopards then I ever thought possible. The settings and characters are super well developed and make this story so much more interesting!

The conflict that arrives I totally didn't see coming and shocked me... but the way the main character handles it is based on the training from her boss and she deals with it perfectly!

The only problem I had with this story is that it did move a little too fast for my taste but then again we are dealing with leopards ;)  This is my first story by the author but it certainly won't be the last! Highly enjoyed this story and would recommend it to anyone who loves shifters and minor BDSM play :D

I give this story:

With a Heat Level of:
