Catrina's Review:
In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Kiera Alden is a strong memorable heroine. She doesn't rely on others to protect her, she prefers to protect herself and others. But, she's smart enough to know when to curb her independence and let someone else help her. I adored her Shoshone friends/adopted family.
Marshall Evrett Quiin is a strong hero, determined to carry out his job and ensure justice is served.
The plot is full of unexpected twists that takes you on an emotional roller-coaster. The books is well written and all characters {even the bad guys} are well fleshed out. The only complaint I have is that the plot meandered a bit. Over all, I'm impressed by the rich tale Mrs. Allyn wove for her readers. I grew up reading Western Romances, so it was a joy to remember why I feel in love with them at such a tender age.
